Our Pug story

Today Room 2 wrote a story about a Pug.
We described what we could see in the picture, some talked about him wearing clothes and others talked about him poking tongues.
Most people thought he was a funny pug.

Today we wrote a story about Little Red Riding Hood.
We created a word bank together on our google hangout and came up with adjectives to add to our stories.

Lockdown party

Jaya has been helping her whanau get ready for a lockdown birthday party for her cousin. They have spent their spare time looking around the gardens for decorations and making birthday activities like paper-mache pinatas. There was cake, presents, and lots of big smiles.
Who would have guessed this all happened in lockdown.

Word Bank

Today Dallin and Pierce have created an awesome word bank for there story writing today. They were coming up with words to describe their favourite toy

Kade Clever ideas

Kade has been working with his Mum to first write his story on paper than he types it into our shared slide on his own. I think that is pretty clever Kade.

Home baked goods and some awesome art.

Today we didn't only get our everyday school work done but we got some art and cooking in also 😄
Today we did some dye blowing with straws and created a loaf of bread in the multicooker it was delish.

Todays Writing

Today we joined together on our google hangout to plan our story. We talked about some words that would be helpful when writing our stories at home.

Our tamariki are getting so good at adding pictures to the stories and using different tools on good slides. I love reading your stories from home and giving you feedback through the shared writing space.

Thank you again, parents and caregivers, for helping at home.

Little Mathematician working hard.

Today our maths focus was recognising numbers before and after to 30 and wow you have all done a great job. Remember there is lots of things you can make at home to help you with learning numbers.
Like a number line or you might head out into your backyard and find some leaves or stones and use these as counters.
Use your imagination and get creative 😁

Coopers the musician

Coopers been practicing his trumpet and though you would like to see his own remake of the song 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY'
🎈🎂🎁

Chef Coopers with a recipe you might like to try at home

It was Cooper's turn to prepare cook and serve dinner last night 😁 he did all of this on his own with some assistance with chopping

His choice was Italian Chicken
He named it Coopers  Italian Chicken

Today for writing Cooper wanted to write out his recipe 😊
So below is his recipe and a couple of images of his food once he had dished up but you get the idea as you can see some chicken is missing lol

He was completely in charge he even made us all make a card to thank him for amazing dinner and had to have a picture 😂 his rule was "NO PUDDING TILL HE GOT THE CARDS"

This was a very proud moment for him 😏

Writing

We decided that writing the story first is quicker than typing and thinking.

Easter egg hunt

Here is a picture of Peyton with her sisters after they had finished their easter egg hunt.

Dallin and Pierce

Attached are pictures of Dallin and Pierce.  Dallin is doing his maths and adding all the dots to work out the answers.  Pierce is writing his Easter story (Mummy should've read the instructions properly and planned the story with him and got him to write it first…  it took Pierce the entire morning to type in his one sentence!).

Our first online writing task.

I am blown away by how well yous have managed to work your way through the online learning tools today. Thank you, parents, for helping our little ones from home navigate there way around our class site and other learning platforms
