Learning to use Explain Everything: Our posters

Today we started learning how to use an app on our iPads called Explain Everything. EE is an interactive whiteboard platform where people learn, create and share.
We learned how to start a new project, then take a photo and insert it on the whiteboard. We learned how to make the picture bigger and smaller and move it anywhere on the whiteboard using the Hand Tool. We then learned about using some other tools such as the Draw Tool, Highlighter, and the Bucket Fill. We made a poster with our photo and a drawing of something we like.
Here are some of our creations.

Barney Malloon's Balloon Google Slide

A few weeks ago the students from room 2 read the story Barney Malloon's Balloon for Shared Reading with Miss Rihari. Then Whaea Debb came to our classroom and we learned how to make a drawing on Google Slides about our favourite part of the story.

First, we went on to the Google Slides app and Created a New Slide. We then made our background by choosing a Solid Colour or a Gradient Colour.
Next, we went to the Shape Tool and chose what Shape we wanted. Some of us made clouds, suns, and mountains. You could then turn your shape, twist it, delete it, or resize it. Now you can choose your colour using the Shape Fill.
Finally, we made our hot air balloon. We chose our shapes again. We could connect the shapes, and make details with other shapes, colours, and lines.
